Althea Leone (Murphy) Senn

Hamilton - Althea Leone Senn, 92 of Hamilton passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Discovery Care Center in Hamilton.

Althea was born in Missoula, MT on August 29, 1923.  She was the eldest of six children born to Charlotte Wickham Murphy and John Rush Murphy.  She lived in various locations around the Bitterroot Valley and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1941. 

In 1943, she married Leo Senn.  Althea and Leo had five children over the next 19 years and Althea worked tirelessly to provide a healthy and happy life for her family.  She loved to sew and did so beautifully.  Due to Leo's employment, the family moved to Ronan, MT in 1952, and then to LeMoore, CA in 1974.  Leo retired in 1984 and moved back to the Bitterroot in 1985, where they lived for the rest of their lives.

Leo preceded Althea in death in 2012.  She is survived by children, Charlotte, David (Sherril), Donald (Kris), Steve (Cheryl) and Bert (Denise); grandchildren, Nathan, Jason, Adam, Althea, Xena and Ian who preceded her in death; siblings Donald Murphy and Colleen Richter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
