Donald Allen Dukelow, 92 of Corvallis went to be home with the Lord on January 24th. He died peacefully at his home where he lived for over 70 years.
He was born April 11, 1925 to Lillian and Lewis Dukelow in South Portland, Maine. Because of his health his mom and dad moved him to St. Petersburg, Florida to be in a warmer climate.
In 1941, he joined the CCC’s. On January 24, 1943 he joined the United States Coast Guard / U.S. Naval Service as a First Class Pharmacist Mate, serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged June 4th 1946. On June 30th 1946 he married the love of his life, June E. Lundberg, they had 2 children, a son, Donald Allen Dukelow Jr. and a daughter, Marjorie Dukelow Fowler.
Don worked for Pew Construction in Missoula. In 1963, he went to work at the Forest Service in the Darby Ranger District working on the road crew, after 26 years he retired on December 30, 1989.
Don was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, ...... fishing he loved, he did not care if he caught anything he just enjoyed being out there.
Don is survived by his son, Donald Allen Dukelow Jr.; daughter, Marjorie Dukelow Fowler; grandchildren, Kimberly (Marc) Copps, Christopher (Raychel) Dukelow, Larae (Curtis) Johnson; 8 great grandchildren, Genesis and Preston Copps, Katelyn, Kyler and Kadance Johnson, Roanen, Malekai and Aydon Dukelow.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June E. Dukelow; grandson, Kurt V. Collins; son-in-law, Jack L. Fowler; daughter-in-law, Lynne M. Dukelow.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2nd at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Pastor Bill Whitney officiating. Urn placement will take place at Corvallis Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Navy and Corvallis American Legion.
