HAMILTON – Dorothy Marie Lorbiecke, 93, of Hamilton passed away Monday, May 09, 2016 at her home.  She was born March 12, 1923 in Bellflower, CA the daughter of Tom and Carrie (Hoffman) Buie.

            Dorothy grew up on a chicken ranch in the middle of Bellflower.  She met the love of her life, Ollie Lorbiecke, in a roller skate rink in 1939.  Dorothy and Ollie were married February 16, 1941 in Las Vegas, NV.  Shortly afterwards they moved to Carlyle, MT where they farmed, ranched and raised their family.  Together they moved to Hamilton in 1971 and built a log cabin home.  Dorothy adapted to the country life after moving to Montana and she worked along side Ollie from the time they were married until his death in 1998.

            Mom loved her family, china painting and her flowers.  Other than Ollie, Dorothy was also preceded in death by 2 children, her son, Max and her daughter, Diane; her brother, Ben Buie; her sister, Lucille Russell; and her great-grandson, Logan Hewitt.  She is survived by 4 children, Judy Burman and husband Marvin, Dan Lorbiecke and wife Elaine, Sue Mosbrucker and husband Gary and John Lorbiecke and wife Josie; 23 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Daly-Leach Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.  There will be a reception following the committal service at the Pastoral Life Center next to the church.
