Dorothy Marie (Malensek) Williams

Hamilton - Dorothy Marie Williams passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22nd at the age of 82 of natural causes.

She was born in Butte to Joseph and Mary Malensek in 1935. As a teenager and the oldest of five children, she moved with her family to Darby because her father believed that farming in the Bitterroot was way better than working in the mines of Butte, and he was right. There she met and later married Troy Williams in 1952. They were marred for 46 years until his death in 1998.

She worked at Ribi lmmunoChem, now GlaxoSmithKline. She was also a custodian for the Hamilton School District until her retirement.

Camping with her family and playing cards with her friends and neighbors were some of her favorite things to do.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her wonderful husband, Troy.

Survivors include her son, Terry L. Williams and wife Arlene of Dillon; daughter, Sherri M. Williams and husband Michael Gaudin of Victor; four granddaughters, Leslie Williams Moss and husband Robert of Las Vegas, Wendi Williams of Helena, Paris Gaudin Dickerson and husband Drew of Boise, Idaho and Sedona Gaudin of Bozeman. She has three wonderful great grandchildren, Miley, Owen and Harper; sister, Teresa Clare; brothers, Joe Malensek and wife Elaine, Bill Malensek and wife Kim, and many nieces and nephews.

A private family celebration of Dorothy's life will be held later this summer. Rest in peace Mom!
