Georgia Christine Weidow Siphakis passed away at her home in Pinesdale surrounded by her family on Friday, September 15, 2017. After months of struggle with brain cancer, Georgia went peacefully. She was 63 years old.

Georgia was born on November 7, 1953 in Murray, Utah to Theodore and Marjorie Weidow. She was the fourth of eight children. Georgia moved to Pinesdale, Montana at 12 years old. On September 20, 1970 Georgia married Freddie Dale Siphakis. They had fourteen children over the years - 9 boys and 5 girls. Georgia was known for her constant strength and service. She worked at various places in the Bitterroot Valley and is known for her extraordinary work ethic and always being busy. Georgia operated the post office in Pinesdale for over 30 years. She always maintained a beautiful garden and orchard. In her last months, she called gardening her “therapy".

Georgia Christine Siphakis is survived by her husband, Fred, and ten of her children (Carrie, Katie, Theodore, Michael, Maggie, Stephen, Marilyn, Zander, Joseph, and Kallie) and three of her step children (Mark, Bill, and Teresa). At the time of her passing, she had 43 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, four infant babies (Freddie, Jason, Justin, and Nicholas), and two step-daughters (Melanie and Lori).

There will be a funeral service for Georgia at the Pines Academy Chapel on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10 AM.  Private family interment will follow at the Pinesdale Cemetery.
