Gregory R. McCrorey

Gregory R. McCrorey, 60 of Hamilton passed away January 4, 2017 at his home in Hamilton.

He was born June 17, 1956 in Buffalo, New York to the late Margie Rice and Carl Peterson.  Gregory graduated from Grover Cleveland High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force.  Following time in the Air Force he joined the Army National Guard.  He received an Associates of Arts from E.I.T.C. in Idaho Falls, ID.  He also worked for the Sheraton Company for 20 years.

Gregory married Barbara Bailey on July 16, 1999, the couple separated in 2007.

He created and organized the Hamilton High School Chess Club, it was his baby and he loved the kids.

Surviving are his children, Jarald McCrorey of Anchorage, AK., John Carl Wymer of Anchorage, AK., Marissa McCrorey of Victor, MT., Michael Felt of Idaho Falls, ID., Angela (Bailey) Davis of Victor, MT., Cameron Bailey of Florence, MT; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Dennis Adams of Seattle, WA., Sonja Rice, Carl Peterson Jr., Carlene Peterson, and Marnita Peterson all of Buffalo, NY.

A celebration of life service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
