Hamilton - Harley Rudolph Marvin 74, of Hamilton, MT passed away December 31st surrounded by family and friends at Marcus Daly Hospice.

Harley was born November 18, 1942 in Hamilton, MT the 2nd of four children of Joe and Carol Marvin.  He graduated in 1961 from Hamilton High School which he was active in football and basketball and was later selected for All State Basketball.

After High School he attended Dillon College and fought fires with The Bitterroot Hot Shot Crew.  He was a dedicated volunteer firefighter for Hamilton Fire Department for 20 years. His master craft was plumbing, he worked for Fullerton's in the 60's and retired from 4 G's after 25 years of service.  He was an active member of The Eagles Lodge for 39 years.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting, golfing and watching all kinds of sports.  After retirement he traveled with his beloved wife Eleanor to Arizona, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and California where they enjoyed the sun, sand and golfing!

Harley is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Carol Marvin and his brother Dick Marvin.

Harley is survived by his wife of 40 years Eleanor Marvin of Hamilton; his children, Lisa Lynch of El Dorado, CA; Julie Deatherage (Mark) of Scottsdale, AZ; Butch Marvin (Peggy) of Big Arm, MT; Billy White (Cody) of Darby, MT; Nick Marvin of Missoula, MT;

His two beloved sister's, Karen Fogel (Butch) and Merry Jo Rall; His beloved Grandchildren: Caffery and Grady Lynch, Matt Gile, Celeste Mathis (Jeramiah), Haley and Jordon Marvin, Nico, Josh and Rachael Marvin.

And last but not least his Great Grand Daughters that stole his heart!!, Denali Mathis and Kaya Gile.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.

Service will be held at 1PM Thursday January 5th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with graveside services following at Riverview Cemetery.  A memorial gathering will follow at The Hamilton Eagles Lodge.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in memory of Harley to Marcus Daly Hospice or a charity of your choice.
