VICTOR - Norma Weeks, age 77, of Victor, MT went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2017 after battling Sarcoidosis for over 30 years.

She was born Norma Joan Smith on August 31, 1939 in Clinton, AR, but at a young age moved to Salinas, CA, where she graduated from Salinas High School and attended Hartnell College. Throughout high school she had several jobs including baby sitting and waitressing. In 1958, she met the love of her life, Forrest Weeks, and later that year, on September 5th they were married.  She was a stay at home mom for a few years before going to work for McCormick Schillings.  There she started as a secretary, but quickly became the head of the order department and was the first woman to ever serve on their management board.  Norma was very active in her children’s lives, serving as the president of the PTA and as a Den Mother to a troop of cub scouts.  She also served as the president of the Quota club. Norma and Forrest were members of a square dancing club and both loved to dance.

In the early 1990's, after becoming disabled from Sarcoidosis, Norma and Forrest decided to move up to Montana (God's country) where Forrest was raised.  They both loved the people and the natural beauty of the Bitterroot Valley.

Norma was an excellent cook and always enjoyed giving to her family and friends through her cooking. She was also an expert cake decorator who made a number of wedding cakes and other special event cakes.  She also enjoyed scrap-booking, crocheting, doing puzzles and loved playing cards and having family game nights. She was an extremely giving person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.  Norma was a great leader and a great comforter...  a rare combination.                  ·

Norma is survived by her son, Chester Weeks and daughter-in-law, Diane of Hamilton, MT and granddaughters, Kiri and husband, Rob Arndt of Seattle, WA, and Shenoa and husband, Eric Strandvold of Missoula, MT; her son, Mark Weeks and grandson, Shea Matson and partner Jasmine Tamayo of Salinas, CA; her daughter, April Weeks-Ruskauff and son-in-law Don Ruskauff and grandson, Colton Ruskauff of Corvallis, MT; her sister, Delora Phillips of AZ; her sister, Novene Norton and brother-in-law, Duke of Buena Park, CA; and her brother, Thomas Smith and sister-in-law Pat, of Salinas, CA.  She was preceded in life by her parents, Vernon and Angie Smith; as well as her brother, Carl Smith and his wife Ruby; and her sister, Mildred Burdett and her husband Ray.

Norma was the "rock" of the family, as well as the guiding light. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is in a better place and no longer in pain. God has truly blessed us all with her in our lives. Until we met again, We Love You!!
