I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I met Steve as a result of my own diagnosis with Carcinoid Cancer, through a mutual friend. Steve was ever-encouraging and always on the path to increase awareness. He and I worked together with Dr. Liu to create the awareness program in Missoula a few years ago, which would never have happened without his passion and drive. May God's peace and comfort help you through this time.

Steve was a dear friend with whom we shared our community. He was bigger than life. Generous, loving, giving. The other day my son, Shawn, said, "I can still hear Steve's voice cheering me on at the basketball games. I was so bad, but he still cheered me." YES, that what Steve. God Bless you Steve Wilcox.

Dear Wilcox family,
I never met Steve, but have communicated with him online during my own journey with NET. His "good morning from Montana" posts and pictures always brightened my day and those of many others. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a bright light in the world.

I have known Steve for decades as my sister is Kristina. Two memories stand out: my brother in law, Peter van Tuyn, insisted that I ride with Steve from MSO airport to Hamilton, and I did. Steve had the full gear for me, and it was an interesting ride, but not really for me. But if there was anyone I felt safe with, it would be with Steve.
He also came down to Tampa in 2004 when we were hit with three hurricanes to restore electricity. I was so glad to be able to put him up at our house at the time.
I always appreciated his texts to me and remind me to stay on track. He is sorely missed.
