Anna Mathilde Ulevog

HAMILTON – Anna Mathilde Ulevog, 96, of Hamilton passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Discovery Care Centre.  She was born October 15, 1921 in Offenbach, a/Main, Germany the daughter of Erhardt and Marie Mueller. 

Anna was raised and educated in Germany.  She met Thorvald Ulevog in Germany in 1951 while he was serving in the U.S. Army.  They married on July 9, 1952 in Frankfurt, Germany.  Thor was honorably discharged in August of 1952 and came back to the United States and moved to Butte.  Anna arrived in Butte 4 months later on the Milwaukee Railroad in the evening and thought Butte was absolutely beautiful with all the lights.  They remained together for the next 65 years, having 3 children. 

Anna met many lifelong friends in the Butte and Anaconda area.  Together they lived all over Montana and the Western United States.  When Thor retired in 1987 they moved to the Bitterroot Valley. 

Anna was a seamstress while in Germany and continued in the U.S.  She was also a sales lady and an Avon Representative for many years.  Anna enjoyed fishing, camping and skiing with Thor and their children. 

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Olin; 9 brothers and sisters; her granddaughter, Jessica McGaha; and 3 great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband, Thor, of Hamilton; 2 daughters, Lore Grayson of Victor and Korine Walterscheid and husband Leonard of Grand Junction, CO; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel.  Funeral services will be held on 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Western Montana Veterans Cemetery in Missoula.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
