Delmon Reese Kennedy

Delmon Reese Kennedy Sr, 93, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday November 26th at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.

Delmon was born August 4, 1926 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He proudly served his country as a Navy serviceman between 1944 and 1951, serving in WW2 aboard the Nehenta Bay. Delmon was honorably discharged from service in 1951. He then went on to work many years for Ford Motor Company before retiring and moving to Montana.

Delmon is preceded in death by his loving wife Rosemarie Lorraine Kennedy, daughter Beverly Penrod, son-in-law Rodney Mickelson and grandson Michael Mickelson.

He is survived by daughter Kathryn Mickelson; sons, Delmon Reese Kennedy Jr (Lisa), Christopher Kennedy and Scott Kennedy; Grandchildren, Christina Beisel (Josh), Katherine Chaney (William), Christina Whisnant (Shawn), TinaMarie Kennedy, Delmon Reese Kennedy III, Amy McLaughlin (Brandi) and Jon Juliano; He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula.  Military honors will be presented by the US Navy and Corvallis American Legion.
