Dear Doug, Beth and Lori:
The first thing we thought of when we heard of your father's passing was that there was certainly a joyous reunion on the other side of the veil on December 7th when he was blessed to return home. What a blessing to be reunited with his sweetheart, his son, parents, brother and who knows how many others were waiting to greet him. He was a great man and I have so many choice memories of my association with him over many years - hunting partner, counselor, teacher, entertainer, confidant and the list goes on. I treasure the association I had with him and the tremendous support he gave me when I was called to serve as the bishop in the ward.
We know you will miss him very much, but we hope you do not grieve. We pray that your many memories of him and his influence on your lives will strengthen and sustain you in the days ahead. You can each look forward to the time when you will be reunited with your parents and enjoy that loving association again.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers that you will be comforted and have peace in your hearts in the days ahead. May the Lord be with you and comfort you
