Elmer Lewis Meskimen Jr.

Revelations 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more pain.

Elmer Lewis Meskimen, Jr. was born on March 2, 1932 at Morristown, S.D., to Elmer Lewis Meskimen and Mrytle Laura Weisbeck Meskimen.  He entered into Heaven on June 11, 2019 at Beehive Assisted Living in Hamilton, MT. 

Elmer graduated from Darby High School in 1950.  In 1976 he graduated from the College of Great Falls, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology.

Elmer married Anne Hannon on January 23, 1955.  They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year.  Elmer was proficient in many aspects.  He drove a semi truck for many years, was a foreman at Champion International, and retired as the yard manager at Boise Cascade in San Diego, CA.  Elmer enjoyed his family and their many activities, which included hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Darby School Board for many years and was a past member of the Darby Volunteer Fire Department.  The Meskimen kids say that “Dad always stopped to pick up rocks that mom wanted, while complaining bitterly in his ‘special’ language.” 

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Myrtle, brothers Dale, Les, Dick & Clarence “Tuff,” and son Matt.

Elmer is survived by his loving wife, Anne and his children Craig (Jill) Meskimen of Darby; Shayne (Dani) Meskimen of Billings; Lori (Paul) Gillum of Hamilton.  He has 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Surviving brothers are Jack (Gwen) Meskimen of Kalispell, and Bernie (Peggy) of Yakima.  He has numerous nephews and nieces. 

Elmer knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and prayed continuously that all would know the same.
