Geraldine "Geri" Lois (Santos) Philippe

Geraldine "Geri" Philippe, 88, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, October 19th at home where she requested to be.

Geri was born on April 5, 1931 in San Leandro, CA to Manuel and Isabelle (Furtado) Santos. She met and married George "Dutch" Vander Dussen, they had a daughter Sue and a son Richard. In 1971 she married the true love of her life, Julian "Phil" Philippe, a realtor/appraiser in Visalia CA.

Geri had a passion for sewing, knitting and bowling with her mother and daughter. She was a bookkeeper and got into the real estate business when she married Phil. They were active in many social community organizations, traveled and enjoyed life together until his passing in 1992. Geri then packed and moved to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana, following her daughter. While here in Hamilton, she sold real estate for Nez Perce Land, was on the Board of Realtors, helped many agents in the business, had a bookkeeping business, was a notary public in the valley and managed the mobile home park where she resided.

Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, her father, Manuel, and her mother, Isabelle, her brother, Donald. She is survived by her children Sue Davis of Hamilton, Richard (Megan) Vander Dussen of Corvallis, her brothers Robert and Jack, Granddaughters, Michele (Robert), Alicia (James), Candice and Crystal. Many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was also a grandma to a few others that needed her!

An "Open House" celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel Community Room.
