James "Jim" G. Douglas

James “Jim” Douglas of Hamilton, Montana passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Missoula, Montana at St. Patrick Hospital.  He was 66 years of age.

He was born James Grady Douglas on July 20, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to James Dixon and Eva Mae Belle Singleton Douglas.  Jim attended San Francisco State University and Skyline College. 

On November 26, 1993 he married Tracey L. Lawrence.  Jim was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America.  He enjoyed fly fishing, all shooting sports including archery and swimming. 

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, son James Dixon Douglas II and a daughter Tara Douglas.

He is survived by his wife Tracey of Hamilton; daughter Jennifer Douglas Smith (Jason) of Placerville, CA; sister Paula Douglas Holman (Robert) of Rancho Codova, CA; grandchildren Dennis, Jerrad, Kevin, Conner, Jacob, Ryan, and Zack.

Funeral services for Jim will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday May 31, 2019 at the Hamilton LDS Chapel on Pine St.  Following the funeral, a brief graveside will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at 230 East Ohio St. Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611.
