Jamie "Azilee" Lohrke

HAMILTON – Jamie Azilee Lohrke, 91, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Valley View Estates in Hamilton.  She was born November 28, 1925 in Charleston, MO the daughter of James and Irma Anderson.  Azilee had 4 sisters and 2 brothers who all preceded her in death.

When she was 3 years old, Azilee and her family moved to Cape Girardeau, MO.  It was there she grew up and was educated.  Azilee worked as a secretary in Weingarten, MO where she met and married Captain John C. McKeane.  Together they moved to Texas where Azilee worked for Continental Airlines.  Azilee was widowed after 23 years of marriage.

In 1968, Azilee marred Captain Alden Lohrke who was with Delta Airlines.  When Alden retired they moved to Montana.   Azilee was very active in the Hospital Auxiliary.  She ran the gift shop for 12 years.  Alden passed away June 2, 2003 after 35 years of marriage. 

Azilee is survived by her step-daughter, Linda Adams; 2 step-grandchildren, Chris Clarke and Ariane Heath; and 1 step-great-grandson, Russel Heath.

At Azilee’s request, no services are planned.  Her ashes will be carried up the mountain by her step-grandchildren to join those of her husband, Alden.  The family suggests that memorials be made in Azilee’s name to the Bitterroot Humane Association, 262 Fairgrounds Rd., Hamilton, MT  59840.
