PINESDALE - On December 12, 2018, Joachim Jan Heuser passed away on a cold wintry evening.
His passing was unexpected and a shock to all who loved him. Joachim was born July 20, 1977 in Pinesdale, Montana to Josef Heuser and Verna O'Larey. He was a quiet yet happy boy, who grew up in a loving family.
He attended Pines Academy and Corvallis High School. Joachim was artistic and creative in many forms. Not only did he draw beautifully, he was talented in woodworking, specifically carving and cabinetry. From his early years he loved to spend time in his dad’s cabinet shop. He was permitted from the age of 8 to use the bandsaw. Joachim went on to become an excellent cabinet maker, and loved to work with wood till the day he died.
Joachim was preceded in death by his mother, Verna. He leaves behind his precious son, Landon; Landon's sister, Sarah; his dad, Josef; two brothers, Abe and Joey; 7 sisters, Sylvia, Carola, Rosa, Maria, Christina, Angelina, and Katherina. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who all love him dearly.
The greatest joy of his life was to spend time with his son, Landon. Both Joachim and Landon loved the outdoors, and as long as they could fish and camp and be together they were happy. In Landon's own words, "My dad was the best fisherman and outdoorsy guy, even though I out-fished him every time, he still loved fishing."
Visitation will be held at the Pinesdale Chapel on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 10:00 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Pinesdale Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
