Judy M. Fowler, 76 of Corvallis passed away August 26, 2019 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. Judy was born February 17, 1943 in Kelso, Washington to the late David W. and Mildred C. Wend Fowler.
She was educated at Upper Columbia Academy in Spokane, WA. She attended Pacific Union College in St. Helena, CA earning her Nursing Degree on July 31, 1968. She went on to earn her Masters in Nursing from Walla Walla College in Portland, OR.
Judy spent her entire career in Medicine. She worked at Monument Valley Mission and Hospital in Monument Valley, UT., La Vida Mission – Boys Dean in Farmington, NM., Tillamook Hospital Emergency Room in Tillamook, OR., Portland Adventist Hospital Home Health in Portland, OR., and Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital where Judy was Director of Home Health and Hospice and later Hospital Assistant Administrator.
Judy loved bird watching. She backpacked from Astoria, OR to Tillamook, OR. She liked car shows and ball games. She traveled to the Holy Land, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal, Switzerland, Hong Kong and China.
Judy served the Lord for 30 years as Head Elder at the Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved serving the Lord and having groups come to her home and study the Bible.
She was preceded in death by her father, David W. Fowler and mother, Mildred C. Wend Fowler.
Surviving include her sisters, M. Joanne Jones and Billie Jean Fowler Ferster; brothers, James D. Fowler and his wife Jane Peters; sisters / friends, Ellen and Wanda Green.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Bill Whitney officiating. Urn placement will take place at Corvallis Cemetery.
