Darby – Nancy Rosetta Garness, 64 of Darby went to a special place in Heaven, where she always said she would be fishing with her mom and dad and son-in-law, Sam. She no longer has to suffer from the ongoing pain she has been going through. She is at peace and can rest. She will be forever remembered for several things; her love of cooking and a loving heart. She cared for everyone around her putting them before herself. She grew up on a small farm with two brothers, Clarence (Larry) and Clyde and a sister, Kathy. She was the eldest and talked about those days regularly. She loved her family very much, especially her grandkids. She showed others what family is and the importance of trying to hold family together.
Her grandson writes; Nancy was a person that others should aspire to be like. She was a pillar of our lives not just the community. She was a mother, grandmother, wise woman and a baker. She worked hard her entire life and has two daughters, Danny and Kyla. She was like a mother to her grandchildren as well. There will never be another person as grand, loving, kind and caring as Nancy was in her little finger. All and all, she took life like a duck and let water run off her back.
Her granddaughter writes; where do I even begin? My grandma made me smile when I was sad; she made me feel beautiful in my own skin. She made me feel smart even when I had a blond moment. She was so beautiful, her smile lit up the room and her happy dance was amazing, it made us both laugh. She made the cloudy and rainy days feel like bright and sunny ones. She was really great at forgiving people and her pies, don’t even get me started about her pies. I miss and love her with all my heart.
