Neil Wilbert Orr, 72, of Hamilton passed away November 18, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Hospital. He was born January 29, 1947, in Edmonton Alberta, the son of the late Wilbert and Edith Orr. He was raised in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School. He volunteered for induction to the Marine Corps and proudly served from November 12, 1965 to November 11, 1967. He spent a year of combat duty in Viet Nam. After Vietnam he attended Brigham Young University. He was a lifelong fan of all BYU sports.
He loved the outdoors and loved to fish and camp and canoeing. He was an avid golfer. He spent most of his working life in concrete construction in the Seattle Area and Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife Carol, his daughters, Melissa Orr Roberts, her husband Greg and children Jacob, Ashley, Emily, and Seth, and Kimberly Orr Vincent her wife Katie Harper and children Andrew and Alllison, and sons Travis K Orr his wife Stacie and children Stockton, Gabriel and Eli and Ryan Hoover and his wife Rachael, his step-son Mike Moline, his brother Allen J. Orr and wife Peggy, his sisters, Afton Smith and her husband Gordon , Joan Heimark and her husband Patrick, and Jennine Jones. He had numerous nephews and nieces that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Edith Orr, a sister, Eileen Louise, and his brother-in-law Don Jones.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23 at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints followed by Interment with military honors will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. Honors will be presented by the US Marine Corps, Marine Corps League and the Hamilton American Legion.
