Patrick Brian "Pat" Sutherland

HAMILTON – Patrick Brian “Pat” Sutherland, 51, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 from a brain tumor.  He was born April 29, 1966 in Missoula the son of Brian and Monica Sutherland.

Pat was raised in Missoula and Hamilton, attending the Willard School in Missoula, and then Daly Elementary and Hamilton High School.  He worked various places in Hamilton in sporting goods and grocery stores.  Pat was also a woods worker, carpenter and painter.  He was a lifetime member of the NRA.

Pat loved spending time with his nephews, whether it was hunting, fishing, hiking, picking huckleberries, hunting for Morel mushrooms, water or snow skiing or camping.  He also loved Mercury Cougar cars and dogs.  Pat had a life long love for his sister, Kimberly, who preceded him in death. 

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Dan and Dorothy Sutherland and Norman and Cora Sorenson.  Pat is survived by his parents, Brian and Monica Sutherland; 2 brothers, Dan Sutherland and wife Sarah and Alan Sutherland; 5 nephews, Jonathan, Joshua, Aidan, Liam and Rogan Sutherland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his faithful companion, Shelby.    

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in Pat’s name to the Kimberly Sutherland Memorial Fund, 338 Canyon Creek Rd., Hamilton, MT  59840 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
