Ruth Irene Brown
February 3, 1923 ~ August 20, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years OldHAMILTON - Ruth Irene Brown passed away Sunday morning on August 20, 2017 at the BeeHive Homes in Hamilton. She was born on February 3, 1923 in Moore, Mt to Aaron and Sally Wilson. The family moved to Hamilton. Ruth graduated from Hamilton High School in 1942.
She met her husband Everritt and were wed in Hollywood, CA. in 1943. While Everritt was in the Army, she joined the Navy. After the war was over they settled in Cusick, WA and in 1960 moved back to the Bitterroot.
She worked at Bays Store, was a homemaker and followed Everritt where he worked on road construction jobs. Ruth and Everritt made the adventure to Alaska and lived at North Pole in the summers for over 10 years. He worked on the pipeline and Ruth worked as a cook and other jobs. They made many friends and enjoyed the beautiful area. Ruth was a member of the Eagles, loved to play pinochle, was on a bowling team and loved to read. When she had dogs, she loved to take them for walks.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Everritt; granddaughter, Becky Lynn; sisters, Louise, Mary, Dorothy and Isabella; and brothers, Hubert, James, John, Bill, Ray, and Don.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Sharbono of Stevensville; son, Carl & Joyce of Hamilton; daughter, Becky & Joe Roth of Kalispell; grandchildren, Butch (Cheri) Sharbono, Tammy (Jeff) Harris, Jessica (Brad) Bain, Josh (Christina) Brown, Jared (Melanie) Brown, Joe Roth, Michael (Marisa) Roth, Matthew (Jeannie) Roth and Lewis Roth; great-grandchildren, Megan, George, Holly, Memphis, Da’Nashia, Bryson, Tyson, Naomi, Jacob, Blake, Cole and Ben; sister, Betty Kalles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at BeeHive Homes for all their loving care they gave to Ruth.
A memorial service will be held at the Daly-Leach Chapel on Friday, Sept 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room. A burial service will follow at the Corvallis Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
