Shirley Ann Miller

HAMILTON - Mrs. Shirley Miller 76, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Community Medical Center surrounded by family.  She was born September 19, 1940 in Butte Montana, the daughter of the late John and Marge Sahinen.

Shirley was raised in Butte and Stevensville where she graduated from Stevensville High School in 1958.  She went on to attend School at Western Montana College of Education to get a teaching certificate.  She taught elementary school in Deer Lodge, Kalispell and later in Corvallis.

She married her high school sweetheart in July of 1963.  She is survived by sister, Linda (Paul); her husband, John; son, Rick (Tammy); daughter, Debby (Mike); and son, Bill (Shari);  also, survived by six grandchildren, Rick Jr., Stephanie, Kristen, Tina, Emily and Daniel; and four great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Dusty, Hope, and Zoey.

Visitation will he held Friday, June 30, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel, (1010 W Main St, in Hamilton) with funeral services following at 11:00 am.  There will be a reception following the services in the funeral home’s community room.  There will be a funeral procession to Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Missoula following the reception.  The family requests memorials be made to the Stevensville Historical Museum, I/C of Ruth Baker, PO Box 750, Stevensville MT. 59870.
