Frederick J Harder, Jr, of Fraser, Michigan, passed away December 5, 2020 due to complications of Covid-19.
He was born November 25, 1932 in Roseville, Michigan and lived the majority of his life in that state. He was a retiree of AT&T and in his free time liked to hunt, collect guns, plan woodworking projects and watch old black and white movies or Seinfeld reruns. His greatest dream in life was to be able to live out in the woods and his daughter developed her love of nature by listening to his stories of hunting and camping. He finally got to move to Montana when his wife, Delphine, passed unexpectedly this year. While it was not the dream he imagined, he did get joy watching the animals outside his apartment.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Darlene.
His is survived by his daughter, Kathi, son-in-law, Larry and granddaughters Megan (Walker) and Zoe, as well as three sisters, LaVanna, Connie and Sherrill Lynn.
A family service will take place in Michigan at a later date when we can all gather safely. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Sapphire Lutheran Homes, Dr. Allen Jones, the Hospitalist staff and the extraordinary nurses, CNA’s and support staff of Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.
