Jerry Noah Skinner passed away April 12, 2012. He was born in Fort Myers, Florida, July 16, 1935 to Lelia and Noah Skinner. He grew up in Fort Myers and married Ginger Horne in 1955. They had 4 children Glenn (Tina), Wes (Rita) both of Montana and Terri Skinner and Tina Silcox of Fort Myers. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren Wesley, Amy, Cole, Jade, Jessie, Jarred, Casi, Kail, and 6 great-grand children. Jerry was a good provider for his family a loving husband and father. He loved his grandchildren and could spend hours playing with them. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Joyce and grandson Dustin.
His profession was land Surveying. He helped survey the first power line across the Everglades and many other now historical projects in southwest Florida. He was one of the first to use electronic survey in the U.S. He later went into business with his sons. He retired to Montana and built a home there in 1992.
He was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Montana. He was ordained deacon in 1964 and helped build 2 Baptist churches in Fort Myers. He was a mentor to many young people through the years. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
