Alan La Verne "Bud" Taylor

Hamilton, MT " Alan La Verne "Bud" Taylor, 90 of Hamilton passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Hamilton.
Bud was born July 30, 1919 in Eldorado, Clay County, Nebraska to the late John L. and Stella Rath Taylor.
Bud was baptized in the United Church of Christ at Harvard, NE. He was educated in the public schools in Eldorado and Harvard, Nebraska. Additional education was gleaned from "Riding the rails" with buddies to visit his older, married sisters in Missouri and Montana.
In November of 1941, Bud was united in marriage to Patricia A. Parker. This 68 year marriage was blessed with three children Roger, Judith and Melodee.
Bud farmed the family farm at Eldorado until 1964, and then moved the family to Montana to be close to the mountains. In Billings he managed Casa Village Mobile Home Park and then transferred to manage a larger park in Denver for several years.
From Denver they relocated back to Grand Island, Nebraska where they managed the Chrysalis Apartments for many years. When it was time to retire, it was back to Billings, MT.
Bud loved to hunt and fish, play cards and dance. He liked going to functions at the Elks, Oaks and AARP. Bud is a current member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, MT.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings; Marie, Ione, Veda, Ruth, John Jr., Glen and Helen.
Surviving include his wife, Patricia of Hamilton; son, Roger (Jean) of Lakeland, FL.; daughters, Judith of Hamilton, MT., and Melodee Grams of Minneapolis, MN.; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 foster sons; several nieces and nephews in Nebraska, California, Nevada and Arizona; numerous friends.
