Alice C. Olsen

HAMILTON - Alice C. Olsen, 88, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. She was born November 28, 1923 in Hamilton the daughter of Robert and Carrie (Wyatt) Keayes.
- Alice was raised and educated in the Bitterroot Valley and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1941. She then attended beauty school in Missoula before moving to Seattle to live with her sister. This is where Alice met Homer Peters and they were married in Seattle in 1943. Together they had two sons, Richard and Donald. Alice and Homer lived in many different places following Homer's career. In each place they lived Alice owned and operated her own beauty salon named Miss Alice Beauty Salons. She was also a partner in a beauty college and was an instructor for a number of years. Alice and Homer later divorced and she married Les Olsen a few years later. Alice and Les eventually returned to Corvallis to be close to her family.
- Alice was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Peters; her husband Les Olsen in 2003; and her parents. She is survived by her 2 sons, Richard Peters and wife Shelley of Hamilton and Donald Peters of Hamilton; her step-daughter, Leslie Dean Bray of Grahan, N C; and 3 grandchildren, Richard Peters of Las Vegas, NV, Kolette Brockhoff of Coeur d' Alene, ID, and Daniel Peters of Anchorage, AK. - Private services will be held at a later date.
