Alice D. Shelstad

Alice D. Shelstad, 96 of Hamilton, MT., formerly of Boise, ID., passed away Monday, December 3, at Valley View Estates in Hamilton.
Alice was born January 9, 1916 in Moorhead, MN to the late John and Gudrun Floberg, and raised in nearby Hawley, MN.
She married Elroy "Shelly" Shelstad in Santa Barbara, California, on June 21, 1937. During their marriage they lived in Santa Barbara; Waterloo, IA; Shelby, MT; and Burley, ID before moving to Boise.
Alice was a devoted mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. She involved herself in the lives of all of her family and took an active interest in the families activities. Alice was still playing kick ball with her great grandchildren well into her 80's. She always needed to be doing something and gardening was an activity that she really enjoyed. She was also an avid traveler and took trips throughout the world with members of her family. She cared for her brother Roy as his health failed until his passing and throughout his life she was there for him.
She is survived by her sons, John Shelstad of Lake Havasu, AZ and Shelley (Nancy) Shelstad of Boise, ID; granddaughters, Kendra (Norman) Williams of Corvallis, MT; Carron (Tom) Grymes of Hamilton, MT; great granddaughters, Becca (Jim) Larson of Yuma, AZ., Kelcie (Allen) Havens of Dillon, MT., Kyla and KaSondra Grymes of Hamilton, MT., and Cierra Williams of Corvallis, MT; great-great granddaughters Kaylyn and Allison Larson of Yuma, AZ.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Shelly; daughter, Carol and son-in-law Ed Leach; and brother, Roy Floberg.
A private family graveside service will take place at Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise.
