Anita Spinetta Dianda, 92, of Darby, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Marcus Daly Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Hamilton. She was born on November 28, 1921 in San Francisco, the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Caterina Bavoso of Italy. At age five she went back to Italy with her parents, returning to California in 1939 as the bride of the late Giovanni Battista Spinetta, who passed away in 1976. She married Elio Giovanni Dianda in 1978, who passed away in 1983. Anita was a longtime resident of Oakland, San Leandro, and Danville and moved to the Alta Ranch in Montana in 2007 with her son and daughter-in-law. Anita is survived by her only son, Judge Peter L. Spinetta, a retired California Superior Court judge. The Peter L. Spinetta Family Law Center in Martinez was dedicated in 2003, four years prior to his retirement. Anita is also survived by Judge Spinetta's wife Katrin and three grandchildren and their spouses: Peter GB. and Valerie Spinetta of Corvallis, MT; Anita and Rennolds Ostrom of Germantown, TN; and Col. Lawrence and Nancy Spinetta of Grand Forks, ND. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren: Reid, Katrina and Case Ostrom; Nicholas and Mitchell Spinetta; and Lauryn, Alexis, and Lars Peter Spinetta. In addition, she is survived by her loving sister-in-law, Ann Bavoso of Oakland, CA and her sons Mark Bavoso of Brooklyn, NY and Lorenzo and Sally Bavoso of Oakland, CA and their boys Mark and Jacob as well as her niece and nephew Yolanda and John Peter Moglia and numerous relatives in Italy, including her niece and nephew, Angela and Renzo and their children, and many dear friends and relatives both here and abroad. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St Mary's College of Moraga, California would sincerely be appreciated.
