Anna Viola Myklebust

April 18, 1927 — December 30, 2008

Anna Viola Myklebust, 81, of Hamilton, formerly of Anaconda, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at the Valley View Estates Nursing Home in Hamilton, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 18, 1927 in Leipzig, ND the youngest of nine living children born to Gottfried and Anna Matilda Ulrich Bader. She was educated at the Willard School and graduated from Missoula County High School. As a young girl she picked potatoes in Stevensville fields and worked at 2J's produce in Missoula.
On March 1, 1947 she married Kenneth Lewis Myklebust. She cleaned and cooked for the priests at St. Paul's and St. Peter's rectories in Anaconda.
Viola was a sweet and gentle soul who always had a smile and a witty remark to share. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, cooking, painting, visiting, walking and bike riding. She was a member of many organizations including; The VFW Auxiliary in Anaconda, United Methodist Women in Anaconda, Corvallis Methodist Church, Al-Anon-Anaconda, Anaconda Women's Bowling Association, Montana Women's Bowling Association and the Carpenter's Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, Sr. in 1984, Daughter Kay in 1948 and her 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Surviving include her son, Kenneth (Emily) Myklebust Jr. of Apollo, PA.; daughter Lucy (Greg, Sr.) Marose of Hamilton, MT.; grandchildren, Samantha (Ed) Hastie of Post Falls, ID. and Greg Marose, Jr. in Hamilton, MT.; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the American Epilepsy Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, Corvallis Methodist Church or the Anaconda Methodist Church.
