Arthur E. Robinson, Jr.

DARBY - Arthur "Art" E. Robinson Jr. was born on September 21, 1928 in Hollywood, California. He died on March 12, 2012 at his home in Darby, Montana.

Art joined the Navy in 1946 and served two years during World War Two until he was honorably discharged.

Art met and married Joann Dalrymple on September 11, 1949. They had 62 years together.

Art was a San Diego Deputy Sheriff for 27 years, working in and around San Diego County. They raised two sons: Robert with wife Elaine, currently living in Grants Pass, Oregon and Steven, retired from the San Diego Police Department, with wife Leslie, currently living in Alpine, California. Two Grandsons: Brandon with wife Monica and Christopher living in San Diego. Brandon continued the tradition of working in law enforcement by enlisting in the San Diego Police Department.

Art had the dream of moving to Montana, building a home and enjoying what he loved doing. Art loved to fish, hunt and do woodworking. He also helped Joann with the upkeep of their lovely flower garden and he volunteered with the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Art will definitely be missed by his family and friends. No services are planned.
