Barbara Lynn Giaimo

HAMILTON - Barbara L. Giaimo 88, passed away Sunday, May 25th at her home in Hamilton surrounded by family and friends. Barbara was born July 29, 1936 in Glendale, CA the only daughter of Dick C. Giaimo and Lynna M. Giaimo of La Canada, CA. She attended Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, throughout her elementary and high school years, a private all girls boarding school where she was an honor student, excelling in Art and English. Later she married Gary G. Marsh and that marriage produced a son, Mark G. Giaimo. When that marriage ended she later married Richard J. Giaimo, her 4th cousin. That marriage produced Lynna Josephine Giaimo who later became Lynna J. Hite who predeceased her in 2024. Barbara was a licensed private interior decorator with a strong work ethic who served her clients, family and friends with diligence and grace. She moved to Hamilton in 1970 where she raised her family, kept a beautiful home and made many friends. She worked a ranch, learned to shoot, rode horses and was involved in community.  Barbara loved to entertain, was a fabulous cook and delighted her family and friends with her Italian cooking.

Barbara is survived by her son, Mark G. Giaimo; and 4 grandchildren, Barbara Z. Rice, Amanda L. Nafeie, Richard Preston Giaimo Hite and India Ashton Hite.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room.  The service may be livestreamed at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
