Barbara Ann Lacefield

HAMILTON - Barbara Ann Lacefield, 69, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at her home. She was born September 27, 1944 in Kelseyville, CA the daughter of Linten Edward and Lottie May Lacefield.

Barbara graduated from Kelseyville High School and then went on to graduate from Heald Business College. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting.

Over 25 years ago, Barbara came through the Bitterroot Valley on vacation and fell in love with the beauty of the area. From that time on she dreamed of living in the area. This dream came true in 2005 when she pulled up stakes in California and bought a small house on an acre of land outside of Hamilton. Many thanks from the family go to the friends she made in Hamilton. They became her "Montana Family" and made her life here that much more enjoyable.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Linten E. and Lottie M. Lacefield. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Irene Lacefield of Santa Rosa, CA; her niece, Rebecca Lacefield of Santa Rosa, CA; 2 nephews, Paul and Kevin Lacefield both of Santa Rosa, CA; and 2 cousins, Cheryl Mortensen of Union, KY and Cleon Lacefield of Houston, TX.

At Barbara's request no formal services will be held. The family suggests that memorial's be made in Barbara's name to Marcus Daly Hospice and Home Health or to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
