HAMILTON - Betty Jean Lykins, 84, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. She was born September 1, 1927 in Butte, MT the daughter of John and Vera (Ling) Allen.

Betty was raised and educated in Salmon, ID. She married Guy W. Lykins, Sr. on April 17, 1946 in Salmon. They made their home and raised their 4 children in Hamilton.

Betty loved bingo, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and served as president for many years. Betty had a huge heart and took in many children through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy; 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Betty is survived by 4 children, Guy W. Lykins, Jr. and wife Mary of Anchorage, Alaska, Cathy Plettenberg and husband Jim of Hamilton, Mark D. Lykins and wife Leigh of Juneau, Alaska, and Carolyn Reibel and husband Michael of Billings; her brother, Vern Marvin and wife Dorothy of Las Vegas; her sister, Lola Brown of Anchorage, Alaska; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
