Bryce Steven Mirtle
(aka, "Mirt" and "Steve")
CONNER – Steve Mirtle, 70, of Conner passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Marcus Daly Hospice Center. He was born in Los Angeles, California to Bryce and Doris Mirtle. His youth was spent in Westchester (a suburb of Los Angeles) where he formed life long friendships. He served in the Marine Corps prior to joining the Los Angeles Police Department in 1968. In 1976 an opportunity came along where Steve could work in the construction industry - something he always loved. He spent the rest of his career in the residential development arena and never looked back.
Steve loved hunting and fishing and went on his annual hunting trips with long time friends and family. That is how he was introduced to Montana where he managed to retire and live his dream in Conner for the past 8 years. His door was always open and food and beverage were always available - as his friends will tell you.
His angel, Lou Hansen, was with him until the end and the family is forever thankful for her. Steve is survived by his two sons, Bryce and Scott; grandchildren Curren and Milena; brother and sister-in-law, Danny & Betty Mirtle; nieces & nephews, Dean, Dale & Debie.
There will be a gathering for friends and family at Friday, November 11, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. at the Rocky Knob south of Conner.
