Caleb was born on February 4th, 1988 in Hamilton, Montana as the 4th child of Kim and Heidi Strain. Caleb had a gift for spreading smiles and even as a baby on his mother's knee, he could crack a smile on the sternest face. He survived the near-death experience of having to finish all his baked potatoes and grew up to be a wholehearted farm boy; changing pipes, putting up hay, raising cows and TPing friends' haystacks with his older brothers. He found the love of his life (Rachael) and married her in 2012. Before long, they were stepping into the role of parents and Caleb became a man who was known for the way he nurtured and taught his children and the way he loved and cherished his wife. The house that he and Rachael built was full, not just with their children, but with all the friends, family and neighbors who came to their generously open door.
He was the type of guy that would make anyone struggle in finding a bad thing to say about him. Throughout his life he impacted others with his quiet strength, his loyalty, his responsibility and the steadiness in which worked and provided for his family. He was always the thoughtful friend and brother who called you on your birthday with something smart and funny to say. He also wasn't afraid to talk straight with you when he knew there was something that needed to be said. He was abundantly caring and even during the time that his health was failing, he was thinking of others and taking the time to help them, show them kindness, and make them laugh. All these good traits flowed from Caleb's unwavering heart for YeHoVaH. He boldly walked out his faith without compromise and led His family in Godly ways.
On June 22nd, 2025 Caleb finished his time here on earth. He wanted everyone to rest assured that what he died of was nothing serious.
He will be missed beyond words and continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him; until we see him again. It's hard to find words that will live up to his reputation but he is by far the best brother of the Strain clan (and arguably the whole world) and truly someone to be looked up to as an example of what a man should be. May we all pick up the torch he carried so well and stay the course, right to the finish line. Thank you Abba Father for a life well lived.
