Carl F. Tieken

HAMILTON - Carl F. Tieken, 86, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at St. Patrick Hospital of natural causes. He was born July 22, 1926 in Hannibal, MO the son of Carl and Pauline Tieken.
Carl enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and remained until his honorable discharge in July of 1964. He married Virginia Jensen on August 6, 1949 in Santa Rosa, CA with his sister-in-law Susie Birse as witness.
Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid golfer, who especially enjoyed his golf and cribbage partners and his dog, Jelly Bean.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, on January 4, 2002. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Christine Downey of Corvallis and Karen Jensen of Alaska.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Carl's name to the Bitterroot Humane Association.
