Carol J. Nutt

HAMILTON – Carol J. Nutt, 84, of Hamilton passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at Bitterroot Health Daly Hospital.  She was born September 27, 1939 in Hamilton the daughter of Ralph and Bessie Woodward.

Carol was raised and educated in the Bitterroot Valley and graduated from Victor High School in 1959.  She married Lewis H. Nutt on March 3, 1971 in Salmon, ID.  She spent most of her career as a Certified Nurses Assistant, working at Valley View Estates for most of those years.

Carol was lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She loved crocheting, puzzles and in her younger years, fishing.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; 2 grandsons, Ashton Nutt and Cole Thayer; and 5 brothers.  She is survived by 3 children, Scott Vadnais and wife Bonnie of Utah, Cindy Thayer and husband Scott of Nevada and Ralph Nutt and wife Jacqualyn Eskers of North Dakota; 3 sisters, Glenda Mohn of Hamilton, Shirleen Foust of Kalispell and Connie Short and Husband Karl of Hamilton; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with funeral services following at 11:00 am.  Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
