Carol "Buddy" Rosemary Applegate Rowley

DARBY - Carol Rowley passed away at her home on the West Fork on September 23, 2010. Carol was born December 3, 1922 in Butte, MT to William and Florence (Monahan) Applegate. Carol graduated from business college in Chicago, IL. During WWII she worked in Army Ordinance. She married Bill Hutton Rowley on Oct. 3rd, 1941. There were three children born to them, Susan, Sally and Shaun. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 1987, her darlin' son Shaun in 2000, her beloved grandson Patrick Rowley in 2008, and her only brother Colonel William Applegate in 2009. She is survived by her daughters Susan Kinzel (Franz) of Rota, Spain and Sally Kieffer at the home place. Carol is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. Memorials may be sent to Montana Wilderness Society or Bitterroot Land Trust " or the charity of your choice in her memory.
