VICTOR - Carolyn Lee Dortch, 78, of Hamilton passed away from natural causes at Bitterroot Health Daly Hospital on Monday, March 10, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., on April 14, 2025 at Discovery Care Centre in Hamilton. Condolences for the family may be left at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
Carolyn was born on October 26, 1946 in Paris, Tennessee. She was the second of three daughters born to Lee Batson Dortch and Betty Jo Hinson Dortch.
She attended Mulberry Hill School, Dover Elementary, and Stewart County High School from which she was graduated.
Carolyn lived with her parents in Tennessee until the late 1980’s when the three of them moved to Victor, Montana. She particularly enjoyed music and art. She was a good cook and housekeeper and spent much of her time in earlier years preparing meals and keeping house for her family. She also especially enjoyed being in Nature and accompanying her sister and brother-in-law, Jeane and John Bruton, on various hunting, fishing, and camping excursions.
Carolyn is remembered as a gentle and kind person with a good heart and an open acceptance of others.
She is survived by her sister Marilyn DeSalvo and numerous maternal and paternal cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Lee and Betty Dortch, and her sister and brother-in-law, Jeane and John Bruton.
