Chad A. Equatore, 51, of Corvallis passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Providence St. Patrick’s Hospital.

He was born November 9, 1972 in Woburn, Massachusetts, the son of the late Richard C. and Theresa L. (Equatore) Zwicker.

Chad was raised in the New England area, graduating from Northeast Metro Tech. In 1992 Chad joined the United States Navy, his first duty station was Keyport, WA. This was where he met and married Jennifer Booth. They were transferred to Port Hueneme, CA in 1996 but returned to Washington after discharge from the Navy in 1999. Chad became a firefighter with Navy Region NW Fire eventually transferring to Poulsbo Fire Department. He retired to Ravalli County, Montana in 2014.

Chad was a proud US Navy Veteran, husband and father, an avid weight lifter, bow hunter and supporter of the annual Columbia Tower Stair Climb for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.

Chad is survived by his wife Jennifer of Corvallis; four sons Kaleb Zentner of Silverdale, WA; Cody of Corvallis, MT; Anthony and wife Meghan of Idaho Falls, ID; Brenden of Corvallis, MT; one grandson, one sister Cobey-Ann and husband Jeremy Foster of Woburn, MA; and two brothers Jerret of Canton, MA; and Brandon of Greenville, NH. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints in Corvallis with military honors presented by the US Navy and the Corvallis American Legion.
