Charles Albert Warner

May 28, 1944 - December 9, 2021 (age 77)

Charles Albert Warner, 77 of Victor, Montana returned to Our Heavenly Father, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Bitterroot Health Hospital due to complications to COVID-19.

Charles Warner was born May 28, 1944 in Brigham City, Utah to late Albert Heber and Joanne Smith Warner. He was raised in a loving home with 3 sisters and 4 brothers. He grew up loving the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time at the family cabin. Charles graduated from Bonneville High in 1962. Soon after he served a mission to Edinburgh, Scotland for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Charles met and married Darla Nalder after returning from his mission. They began their little family in Utah with first born, Sharida. Eventually they moved to Oregon. He provided for the family as a meat cutter and managed apartments. 2 years later, Shawn joined the family. Sadly, Charles and Darla were later divorced.

He loved music and showing off many styles of dancing. He enjoyed being on the ski patrol on Mt. Hood. If he wasn't on Mt. Hood snow skiing, he could be found water-skiing on the Columbia River with his bright shiny blue speed boat. His love of bow hunting led him to starting his own hunting scent business called “Moccasin Joe Inc.” He eventually left Oregon and moved to Victor, Montana, to expand his business and started to raise elk. He eventually remarried, in 1997, to Anne Vittori at which time they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. He expanded his business with the addition of Elk Valley Ranch, in Idaho. His family grew adding another son-in-law and daughter-in-law, which were followed by 9 grandchildren. The grandchildren enjoyed many adventures with Grandpa and loved him dearly. Sadly, Charles and Anne were divorced, but since had been blessed with 14 great grandchildren and one more to arrive any day.

More recently his best friend Scooty (likely a Shih tzu/Pug mix) passed away. For several years now he has had a human best friend, Marti Laskos, who he spent a lot of time country dancing with to help him through his loss of Scooty. Shortly thereafter his daughter-in-law, Amy found him a new man’s best friend Angel. He grew to love Angel quickly and they were inseparable almost instantly. Marty and his dog, Angel, will miss him dearly. Chuck had a lot of very important friends one of which is one of his long-term workers for his business, Michelle Morris, who has been an awesome friend and employee. She and her family will miss him dearly. He worked hard and played hard every day up to his last breath.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Heber and Joanne Warner; his brother, Alan Warner; and brother-in-law, Russ Lawrence.

Charles is survived by his sister, Lucy Ann (Michael) Morrelli; Jan (late Russ) Lawrence, late Alan Smith (Pat) Warner, Theron Cole "Corky" (Carol) Warner, Albert Heber Jr., "Skip" (Kathy) Warner, Valeen (Don) Peterson, and Vernon Scott (Janie) Warner; his daughter, Sharida (Lance) Call, of Preston, Idaho; and son, Shawn Richard (Amy) Warner, of Perry, Utah; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing will be held Tuesday December 14, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel, 1010 W. Main St., Hamilton, Montana. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
