Hamilton - Cindy McGinnis, 55 , of Hamilton passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 30th, 1959 in Madera , Californa. She moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1967 where she grew up and attended Valley High School, graduating class of 1977, she then furthered her education by attending UNLV. In 1988 Cindy moved to Montana and settled in Hamilton where she raised two beautiful children Cory and Mandi. When the kids were grown she went back to work at the Surgery Center in Marcus Daly Hospital.

Cindy married Bill McGinnis on May 15, 2002 in Coeur D' Alene, ID. Cindy had an amazing passion for people and loved and cared for them. Her smile was contagious. Love, friendliness, and a zest for life exuded from her total being.

Cindy loved Sports, especially tennis and softball, she played Fast Pitch Softball while in Las Vegas and continued to play slow pitch after moving to Hamilton. In her early 40's she took up tennis and became very competitive in that sport. Cindy Competed and qualified for several regional events, she also competed in a Triathlon in Great Falls. Though she loved sports, her children were her greatest enjoyment and were always her priority. Her passion for life was evident in everything she pursued. In recent years she really enjoyed camping trips in the Tent Trailer with Bill.

Cindy is loved and will truly be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her father Barney Sotelo. Cindy is survived by her husband, Bill McGinnis of Hamilton; her two children, Cory Ward of Missoula and Mandi Ward of Hamilton; her mother, Betty Sotelo of Las Vegas; two sisters, Kathy Yohner and Susan Sotelo and her brother Ken Sotelo all of Las Vegas; 3 step-children, Padraic McGinnis of Seattle, WA, Corey Wallis of Victor and Michael McGinnis of Missoula; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
