Clyde D. "Mac" McLean, 93 of Hamilton passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Bee Hive Homes in Hamilton.
He was born in 1922 in Fairview, Idaho the son of the late Elmer and Jennie Durrant McLean. He married Marjorie Nelson in 1943. Mac worked a variety of jobs over 63 years in the Bitterroot Valley, to include; starting an excavation business, driving truck, operating a post and pole plant, small engine repair shop, blacksmith and tractor restoration shop. During his time in the valley he built seven new homes.
One of his favorite sayings was, "You can't make money with the brakes on."
Surviving include his wife, Marjorie; sons, Michael, Denny, David and Jody; daughter, Linda; 27 grandchildren, 68 great grand children and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21st at the Hamilton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church.
