Colin C. Birse

HAMILTON - Colin C. Burse, 87, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Valley View Estates of natural causes. He was born February 23, 1927 in Oakland, CA the son of Norman and Josephine Birse.
- After high school Colin enlisted into the US Army in August of 1945. He served in the Signal Corps until he honorable discharge in 1947. Colin then went to Marin Junior College and then he attended Laney Trade and Technical School.
- He married Susie Jensen on September 8, 1956. Colin spent most of his life as a cabinet maker, working in Mill Valley, CA, Hamilton, MT and Santa Clara, CA.
- He loved fishing and photography and was a avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants.
- Colin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Norman S. Birse, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Susie Birse of Hamilton; 3 sons, Cameron (Katya Roemer) Birse, Jeffrey (Trenee) Birse and Todd Birse; his sister, Joyce (Earl) Olson; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
- The family suggests that memorials be made in Colin's name to Aspen Hospice, 107 Bell Crossing, Victor, MT 59875 or to the National Wildlife Conservation, P.O. Box 1691, Merrifield, VA 22116-1691.
