Connie Lee (Grenfell) Martin
Connie Lee Martin passed away early Friday, March 16, 2012 at her home in Victor from congestive heart failure. She was 68.
- Connie was born December 20, 1943 to Robert Grenfell and Donna Amos in Hamilton, Montana. She spent most of her life in the Bitterroot Valley with brief times in Butte, Bonner, and Spokane, Washington.
- Connie owned and operated George's CafAC. in Bonner in the 1970's. She also held various positions throughout her life- cook on her grandmother's ranch, waitress, census taker, stock race car mechanic, floral warehouse manager, bookkeeper/secretary, and school bus driver. Connie also loved working with animals, plants, and children. In 2000, she started Martin Lock and Key with her husband, Fred.
- In 1981, she met the love of her life, Fred Martin, and they decided to blend their families of six children. They married on October 31, 1981. Connie continued to live a full and happy life with Fred. They built their home together and made countless happy memories for their children and grandchildren.
- Connie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993. She fought courageously, even when it returned a 2nd and 3rd time. She never gave up.

She is survived by her loving husband Fred Martin; her children, Sheri Kern (Dan), Rodney Williams (Rocio), Jardi Nordby (Mark), Kimberly Lindholm, Marc Martin, and Adrienne Patterson (Charles); 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
- Connie was a supportive and loving wife, a wise and caring mom, and a courageous and amazingly strong woman. She was an inspiration to those blessed to know her and she will be sorely missed.
- Per Connie's request, there will be no memorial service. She firmly believed if you couldn't say it in life, you shouldn't say it in death. She also always believed:
Always laugh once a day,
Cry once a week,
Love every hour,
And breathe every second.
