David Wayne Busa

David Wayne Busa was born May 19, 1978 to Francis and Cheryl Busa in Ukiah CA. He and his family-originally from the Santa Cruz mountains/redwoods in CA-- moved to Bakersfield CA in 1979 where they lived for 20 years. In 1996, David met Laura Martinez, also of Bakersfield, and they married in 1998. In 2004, David and Laura moved to Sacramento, CA. this past week they and their three small children visited Dave's parents and grandparents of Hamilton, MT. During their visit, Dave passed away suddenly in his sleep during an afternoon nap.
Dave went to West High School in Bakersfield graduating in 1996. He graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2005 with honors with a BS in Computer Science and Computer Administration. His technical knowledge of computers and networking was phenomenal, and he progressed well in this field professionally.
In High School, Dave was in Who's Who in American High Schools for two years, nominated by his band directors and other faculty. He was a member of the Kern County Honor Bands for 6 years and the County Honor Jazz Band for two years. When he was 13 years old he and three friends began to write creative music together, recording it and performing professionally during the 90s. All 4 boys were truly gifted in their musical abilities. Their music and style was compared to "The Doors". Music was his passion throughout his life. His band also lead worship in their high school church youth group. His goal was to get his doctorate in music at the University of Montana and begin to teach. His primary instrument was drums and secondary instrument guitar. He also had a great interest in languages and international cultures, and spent a summer after high school in Germany. His parents loved to call him"International Dave".
David was a very tenderhearted person, a loving and caring husband, father and friend. His wife and children were always first priority in his life-his primary desire and goals since age 14 was to have children, teach and live the love of God, and bless his friends and those less fortunate than himself.
In recent years, following an injury in a car accident, David was beleaguered by chronic pain which became increasingly severe and debilitating. In spite of his struggles and trials in this life, David never once questioned God and His faithfulness. To the very end, Dave kept his faith and trust in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dave went home to be with our Lord on Friday, November 13, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Laura, two daughters, Logan (8) and Jillian (6), and a son, Benjamin (3) of Sacramento CA; his parents, Francis and Cheryl Busa , his sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Marty Robinson, his grandparents, Hugo and Marie Busa, his Uncle and Aunt, Rich and Paula Busa, and cousin Kayce-all of Hamilton MT, and Asuncion and Blanch Martinez and their family of Bakersfield CA.
Son, we will miss you so much, but we will meet again soon. Your memory will stay strong and alive to your children.
