David L. Foss

David Leon Foss was born on November 11th, 1929 in Santa Clara California. He moved to the Bitterroot with his family at 3 years old. He attended the Sleeping Child One Room School House, then graduated from H.H.S. in 1946.

He was married to Grace Johnson for 68 years, who preceded his passing in 2018.

He enjoyed a variety of sporting events. He was the 1st Farmers Insurance Agent in the Bitterroot Valley, and also founded Foss Real Estate.

He is survived by his sons, Michael, Marlin and Dale Foss; his daughters Mary Ann Keune and Gail Larson, as well as a multitude of Nieces, Nephews, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. He Lived a Good Story, and he will be missed by all!

There will be a celebration gathering at Daly-Leach Chapel, Friday evening, March 4th at 7 pm. All are welcome to attend. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5th at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Jim Connor officiating.  Private urn placement will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
