DARBY - David LeRoy Honey, 62, of Darby, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Dave was a quiet, reserved man, good at his job and very focused on the job at hand. He was born July 19, 1951, in Hamilton, Montana, at Marcus Daly Hospital. He is the son of Mary Jane Honey and the late Robert Eugene Kerlee. His mother married Lowell R. Honey in 1963. Lowell adopted Dave and his younger brother Gene. David was raised in Darby, graduated in 1970 and then attended Denver Technical Vo-Tech and Great Falls Auto College.
Dave and Gene established Honey Enterprises in 1986. Their services included auto repair, salvage, towing and recovery. He also installed and repaired satellite systems.
Dave is survived by his wife Queenee; brothers, Paul (Kathleen) and Eugene; mother, Mary Jane Honey; two nieces, Sadie and Rose Honey; and other cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the country. Dave was preceded in death by his adopted father, Lowell R. Honey Sr. and his brother, Robert Honey.
Honorary pallbearers are Paul Honey, Gene Honey, Marvin Shewmake, Robert Gillespie Jr., Bill Foster, and Dave House. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dave's name to a charity of your choice.
