David Unruh

VICTOR - David Unruh, 86, of Victor passed away and went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. He was born January 24, 1924 in Zap, ND.

David attended grade school in a one-room school house in the country and graduated from high school in Zap. He served in the US Army in California from 1946 " 1947.

David married Gertrude Winckler on November 5, 1946. They had celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary before his passing. David was a cattle rancher who loved to break and ride horses. He ranched in North Dakota from 1949 " 1962 and in Montana from 1962 until the present.

David is survived by his wife, Gertrude Unruh; 2 sons, James and Merle Unruh and their wives, Kathy and Debbie; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer (Todd) Cary and Nichole (Anthony) Corona; and 5 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Olivia, Ashley and Emily. He was preceded in death by 2 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Garrett; his parents, John and Rosina; 3 brothers, John, Fred and Ed; and 2 sisters, Marie and Rose.
